When you don’t feel smart enough

Meet Rosa Long, Mindset Mastery Honors Graduate:

In the Mindset Mastery program, students are instructed on the laws and principles that activate unseen help. That unseen help orchestrates resources, connections, and/or impressions that nudge the students toward all they need to realize their goal. In Phase 1, they practice what they’ve learned on an inconsequential goal – something NOT connected to anything they’re intensely concerned about. This helps them experience success without undue stress, to build the mental muscle memory they need to apply what they learn to a goal of greater significance in Phase 2.

Rosa did an amazing job at increasing her skills as a master visualizer. Her hard work paid off in so many different ways. Here Rosa shares one of the best ways it paid off, going from deep fear to courageously living her dreams:

Not Feeling Smart Enough

I was afraid, but mostly, I was so insecure in my abilities from years of feeling inadequate and feeling not smart enough. Part of that is from me worrying too much what others thought of me and from many past failures in other businesses.

I am no longer afraid. In fact, I am amazed at how unafraid I am of the future and doing something that was previously way outside my comfort zone.

Rosa, I believe you will give hope to so many people who live in fear and insecurity. There is a way out of our anxious and insecure thoughts and your example of living the laws helps light the way!

Rosa started the program with a fun and simple goal:

Expecting Good Things is the New Norm

My inconsequential goal was to find amazingly close and convenient parking spaces…. Now it happens all the time without me even thinking about it because I am simply expecting to find them.

Great job Rosa. As it is with so many, small successes like these help Mindset Mastery students have courage to move on to bigger goals that may have previously seemed impossible.

For her phase two goal, Rosa faced her fears head on, and went from having a fear of public speaking, to promoting herself in a professional setting. She shares her story here:

Public Speaking Transformation

My bite sized Phase 2 goal was to promote my mock Genius Bootcamp (GBC) class for my GBC Facilitator certification.

I set a goal to promote my Genius Bootcamp at one of my networking meetings. I actually continued to promote it at other events as well and shared it with people I met at these women’s networking meetings.

I ranked this goal a nine [ten being hardest and one being easiest] because I am not used to promoting myself or my programs. It is new to me and I struggle with the mental part that what I desire is seeking me.

My fear of being a public speaker was so strong that I kept that desire hidden deep down inside my subconscious. It did its job in protecting me by keeping me out of the limelight throughout my life/career.

I chose to visualize myself speaking in front of a large audience. I envisioned their positive energy and love flowing towards me giving me the feeling of being supported in my role as a respected and inspiring speaker. The fear started to dissipate from my heart and [the vision] has now become more real than just a dream. Having strong faith that the Lord has guided me on this journey in finding my passion has helped greatly in pushing out the doubt and fears. [I wrote…]

“I am so grateful and ecstatic that I knocked it out of the park, when I promoted my Genius Bootcamp at my networking event! It’s so rewarding to see and feel the energy of excitement at what they anticipate learning when they attend May 9th. The attendees were definitely the ones that needed to be at my event and they were excited with anticipation.”

What is even more amazing outside of my bite-size goal was that I had written on my vision board this statement: “I facilitate the most extraordinary experiences in my Genius Bootcamps.”

Facilitator in Training

Rosa went on to facilitate her first Genius Bootcamp, and the results reflected her goal statement. She said:

The experience by all participants was “extraordinary.” Descriptions from the feedback forms I received called it “inspiring” and “amazing”. Lives have changed and this is why I knew I wanted to become a facilitator…. I am definitely improving in my conviction of what I have to offer those who are seeking what I have. I am realizing that I only want those who are seeking because those are the ones I will have so much fun teaching.

One of the women entrepreneurs I met asked if I would be willing to share what I am teaching to her clients. She asked if I offered mentoring because her company only teaches their clients (which are all entrepreneurs) how to build their businesses. She saw that they were missing the mindset part of it. What a great population to work with! They definitely need this class and to be mentored in how to fully utilize the teachings as they are building their businesses.

Here, Rosa’s making things happen with the power of her thoughts. And if her thoughts really are so powerful, why not use them to win a free cruise? 😉

Visualizing her way to a Caribbean Cruise

As I thought about what I wanted to do for my mid-term assignment, I thought of a goal for my health coaching business. I wrote down on December 9th how grateful I was for all the clients that eagerly reach out to me to get healthy. It just wasn’t happening and I didn’t do anything about it until it was the last 4 days of December. I realized that my true goal was not new clients but to qualify for an all-expense-paid Caribbean cruise that me and Brian could go on in March 2019. Then I remembered how Leslie taught we need to visualize the end goal not the tasks needed to achieve the goal (plus you can’t impose on other people’s wills).

“March 17, 2019, I am so grateful that Brian and I are enjoying this Caribbean cruise.” I then visualized and felt gratitude and the calmness and stress-free feeling as I saw us walking hand in hand on the ship.

I QUALIFIED AT 12:30 PM DECEMBER 31, 2018.

As she finished the Mindset Mastery course, I could feel Rosa’s optimism in this final comment:

I have such great hopes for 2019 as I continue to practice these success principles!

Again, congratulations, Rosa! You did an amazing job and have a lot to show for it!

The Mindset Mastery Program is not to be confused with the Mindset Fundamentals Ecourse.

The Fundamentals Ecourse provides an introductory exploration into the principles that govern success for effective goal setting. It also fills the gaps to give you a basic but complete understanding of the principles, so that you have a solid foundation on which to develop true mastery.

By contrast, the Mastery Program is focused on the *implementation* of those principles and the *achievement* of your goals. It is full of interesting assignments that take you step-by-step through two experimental goals, challenging your thought processes, helping you experience success, and setting up a pattern in your thinking that you will be able to utilize over and over for effectiveness with all of your future goals. There is a self-paced version, but we also have a GUIDED version if you want to go through the lessons on a weekly basis with an expert guide. An option for every budget!
