Need More “Luck” In Your Life?

By Heather Gibson

Trisha and I met at a business/self development weekend retreat. She was nice and I enjoyed talking with her. As the weekend went on I learned that she was a rep for a holistic pet food and supplement company.

I had no idea at the time, but doing a favor for her was going to change my business forever.

At the time I wasn’t completely happy with the food I was using, but I also was not sure I believed Trisha’s was any better.

I had become jaded with the pet food industry. I hated the way companies sacrificed the needs of the animals by changing recipes and substituting lower quality ingredients for a higher personal profit. As a breeder it had negatively impacted me and my animals.

Her food cost more and I was on a tighter budget. However, when she asked me if I would try her food I said yes.

In my mind I was doing her a favor.

Three+ years later it has been the best pet food I have ever used! I have had healthier litters and healthier parents. It has provided an extra stream of income into my breeding business that I didn’t have before and reduced vet costs.

My world has changed for the good in so many ways because I decided to “help Trisha”.

This is a great example of the Law of Cause and Effect which states that what we send out returns to us. Some people also call it the Golden Rule.

With every action we take there is a very specific reaction.

What do you want more of in your life? Send more of it out into the world and watch it come back to you.

I have had people comment on how lucky I am. Because of this law and the other 7 I know there is no such thing as luck. It really is about living right within the laws.

One of my core beliefs is that we are stronger together.

By lifting up and helping each other we all grow and become better versions of ourselves. This includes people that some might consider your competition.

I know a local networking group that has 7 attorneys that regularly attend. Each has a license that allows them to practice all parts of the law. Some may say it’s a bad thing to have 7 people that do the same thing in the group.

What do you think? What does your mental thought programing tell you?

Each of these lawyers has found their passion in one area of the law and work together to help each other work in the area they love. This cluster of lawyers brings in more referral and income per lawyer than the local lawyers that are the only one of their profession in similar networking groups.

Competition dissolves into a major advantage if you are in an environment that allows it and you are open to it!

As I continue “helping” people I know that I will become a better person and be able to make a bigger impact on the world around me.

PS I would love to connect if you feel like there is something I can do to help you.
