Plant Idea Seeds – The Law of Gender and Gestation

By Melanie Valderrama

The Law of Gender states that in all of creation there is male and female in every kind. In order to continue life, there must be one to plant the seed and one to grow and nourish the seed. The Law of Gestation states that every seed has an incubation period.

A seed planted in the ground has everything it needs to grow. A seed in your hand is actually disintegrating. Therefore, in life, we are either moving forward or backward on a daily basis-we never stay the exact same.

This law reminds me of the Parable of the Sower and how it relates to my life. The sower went forth to sow or plant seeds. Some of his seeds fell by the wayside and the birds came and ate them. This reminds me of ideas I’ve had, then discarded because I wasn’t sure what to do or why I wanted to do it and, in the meantime, got distracted doing something else.

Some of his seeds fell among the stones, where there wasn’t much earth. They immediately sprang up, but the sun scorched them and since they had no roots, they quickly died. This reminds me of things I’ve done to “go with the flow,” and since the idea wasn’t strong, even though I may have experienced some success, when times got tough, I gave up.

Some of his seeds fell among thorns, which quickly choked the seeds and they died. This reminds me of some ideas I’ve had and shared with others, who quickly discouraged me from pursuing them. I’ve heard these type of people referred to as “dream stealers.”

And some fell into good ground and brought forth fruit: thirtyfold, sixtyfold and a hundredfold. This reminds me of good, sound ideas I’ve had where I’ve followed a certain formula. I first decide what I want, which is sometimes determined by figuring out what I don’t want. I plant my idea seed in the right environment for growth. Then I focus on my goal to help me determine daily actions to receive what I want. The key is to act on the inspiration I receive. When I do this, I am amazed at what happens in my life and how much my original idea multiplied and produced something better than what I originally imagined.

The Law of Gestation gives me the knowledge that every seed I plant has a finite gestation period and as long as I continue in the right direction with faith and belief, I will achieve my goal.
