How to Overcome Financial Problems

By Wayne Hafner

Like so many of you I have struggled with finances most of my adult life. Whether it be wondering where my next car or house payment was going to come from or closely paying attention to the caller ID on my phone to avoid yet another creditor. The fear was real and undeniable. But it can be overcome. How you ask? How can I fight my financial battles when I have absolutely no idea how to do so? All I can think about is the fear and stress that is presently in my life. The stress is so great that I cannot focus on a solution even if I thought there might be one present.

First, we need to approach our difficulties with a different mindset. According to Albert Einstein, We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. The strange thing about creativity and innovation, it doesn’t usually happen unless you change the way you’ve been working. Sometimes that means stopping and not working on the problem. So step back and relax.

Next, change your vibration. If you have a negative vibration, you are continually attracting negativity. Change your vibration with positive thoughts. Be grateful, appreciative. Instead of being stressed about the auto or home payment, be grateful that you have an auto or home. Be thankful for all you with which you have been blessed. An “attitude of gratitude” travels a long way in changing your vibration.

Humbling yourself in this manner creates an inner peace and grants you the opportunity to follow Einstein’s advice and to be utilized. With this improved mindset, you do not have to view a bill with the attitude of, “Uggh, another bill to pay. I don’t know how I am going to do this.” Instead, it can be viewed as an opportunity.

Try this: “Oh, this month’s mortgage payment is due. I am so grateful that I have a roof over my head. I look forward to the opportunities out there to generate the income to pay this bill.” Same situation. Different mindset. With the latter, you are allowing yourself to be creative and to let ideas flow to you on how to resolve the issue. With the first approach, you are cutting yourself from any possibility to bring forth the genius in you and solve the problem. You simply go further into your shell.

Here is the approach that I have used and continue to use in reaching short term goals. “I am so grateful to Heavenly Father that He has blessed me with $XXXXX. I am so happy and grateful that I keep my financial promises on time, and that I am independently wealthy. It gives me such powerful and overwhelming relief and peace of mind to meet my financial responsibilities. I cannot help but smile and my toes literally tingle thinking about how blessed I am. It is such a warm and exciting feeling to fulfill my financial goals. My focus is now on helping others achieve this same freedom. I am thankful to Heavenly Father for allowing me to be a righteous steward of His money.”

This has worked for me and I trust that something similar, coming from your heart will work for you as well.
