My Daughter’s Accident

image
Hi Reader,

Two weeks ago, my daughter Kayli violently rolled her car on her way home from college. Although we’re convinced that it just wasn’t her time to go, I’m sharing her story as it unfolds to explore my working theory that while some things are not within our control, I do believe we can experience the best possible outcomes when we practice rare faith:

  • keeping calm
  • seeking the good in every adversity, and
  • looking forward to happy resolutions

It can be scary to hope for the best, and dare to believe everything is going to be okay when facing grim possibilities. But I do hope and believe we access more of God’s strength, provision, and blessings when we turn off the fear. Come what may, this is something my daughter has been helping us do.

My husband and I had had many years of struggling financially. We were renting an apartment and were struggling to keep up with all of the demands in life.

My brothers and sisters decided it was time to move Mom into an assisted living center. This had left her house vacant. “[T]hank you sooooo much for … the ‘Achieving the Impossible’ class! … I am learning so much and noticing so many shifts in my thinking already! This homework from week 4 was especially powerful for me! My mind was definitely stretched and it made so much sense! So many Ah ha moments this week!! … [People] are so dedicated they keep going and trying but they all seem to be experiencing a rut right now and I feel like this would really help them … to regain some hope.” – Christy L., on Achieving the Impossible

“This was amazing! I have taken so many courses and trainings on leadership…but this one by far has been the best! It has helped me grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and even physically. I have learned not only how to be a better leader, but how to be a better person, a better friend, a better listener. I have learned that being a leader is not about me, it’s about how I can help and serve and inspire others to progress and find their own gifts and their own power within them. It is my job to just help them discover their greatness! Leslie knows how to train and mentor you in a way that will not only help you to learn new skills, but she teaches you in a way that will CHANGE you. So that you can BE THE CHANGE you wish to see in the world! You will be able to truly teach the principles of Rare Faith to bless so many people in the world! Thank you Leslie! I highly recommend Facilitator Training!” Allyson P.
