Meet Steven Roberts, Mindset Mastery Honors Graduate:
When we first met Robert in our online Facebook group, we knew two things: one, he was well prepared for the course, and two, he had a lot of exciting projects going on. Little did any of us know, Robert was about the use the Laws of Thought to blast off in all of his endeavors. Here is his introduction from Facebook:
My wife and I have three children. We have read Leslie Robertson Householder’s three books: Hidden Treasures, The Jackrabbit Factor, and Portal to Genius….
My expertise is in helping parents and students find resources and money for college. I am soon releasing a book on the same topic that teaches principles through a story. In addition to the book, I am in the beginning workings of an online course. I am currently working as an engineer.
In the Mindset Mastery program, our students are instructed on the laws and principles that activate unseen help. That unseen help orchestrates resources, connections, and/or impressions that nudge the students toward all they need to realize their goal.
In Phase 1, they practice what they’ve learned on an inconsequential goal – something NOT connected to anything they’re intensely concerned about. This helps them experience success without undue stress, to build the mental muscle memory they need to apply what they learn, and to succeed with a goal of greater significance in Phase 2.
The Missing Checkbook: “Let’s see if this really works”
Steven’s Phase 1 Inconsequential Goal was to find a missing checkbook. In his words:
My wife and I are purchasing a new-to-us house… I had asked my wife to find the checkbook so we could make the earnest money deposit. She had looked but could not find the checkbook. The checkbook had not been used for a week and it wasn’t in my wife’s purse like it normally is. She had looked for it for a few hours…and was concerned that we would not make the deadline.
I figured ‘what better opportunity to test to see if this works.’
I then imagined getting the checkbook and making the deadline to submit to the title company. I came home from work while my wife was out and I looked briefly for the checkbook and did not find it.
I imagined having the checkbook again. I then tried to call my bank and ask if I could wire the money, but the banker said that the wire transfer deadline had passed.
Admittedly, a little panic ensued.
I asked the banker on the phone to get me the information for the wire transfer so that I could plead our case for Monday. I went to quickly get a pen and I saw something: our checkbook. It was in plain sight right by the pen. I quickly hung up the phone with the banker and called the title company. I brought the check and had it deposited.
I later asked my wife, did you look by the pens and put the checkbook there. She was surprised and assured me that she had looked by the pens and in all areas nearby. I had looked in the same area and both of us did not see it. However, right when I needed it, it was there–just in time to make the title company with time to not be rushed.
It was amazing that it was in plain sight, but we could not see it.
Steven also decided to use the principles to overcome a challenge that had been plaguing him for 9 months. Getting in touch with the right person at the American Red Cross for an important project seemed impossible. Read on as he shares how he used the power of thought to accomplish this goal:
Reaching the Unreachable
I had been trying to reach the main personnel for campaigns for the Red Cross. I had been trying to get to the people for 9 months to collaborate on a project. This was an extreme run-around…. There were certain personnel that I tried contacting over twenty times. I was promised by lower staff that they would give a message and I should be contacted in two days—which never happened. I would ask to be transferred to the person in charge and I met gatekeeper after gatekeeper. It became what seemed an impossibility and I started to take it personally. I wondered what I was doing wrong and why people were not keeping their promises.
This task was important to getting a deal worked out. I wanted to help people to be able to improve their college experience and help raise money for charity. I tried and failed over and over again. It was discouraging.
I started imagining having the call go really well. I had already tried looking on the Red Cross website, connecting on LinkedIn, contacting multiple people. Then one day, I had the idea to search the main contact personnel’s email and phone generally. I found both her cell and direct line (one that would get me past all the gatekeepers). I called and got her voicemail. I then left a message. Part of me expected that she would blow me off, but I purposely and consciously suppressed this thought. I remembered the phrase “when I have a choice, I choose to believe.” I had the idea to put her phone number and name in my contacts for my phone. About 2.5 hours later, she called me back right at the perfect time between meetings at work. Things couldn’t have been better with respect to timing.
As Robert progressed through the course, he applied the laws to many projects and challenges with astounding success. Here are some of the other struggles Robert was experiencing at the beginning of the course:

A summary of Robert’s situation coming into the program:
As Robert began practicing and applying the principles in the Mindset Mastery Course, he overcame every obstacle. We are so very proud of you Robert! Here he shares how dramatically his life changed:
Robert, we are so proud of you for changing your thoughts, which in turn changed your circumstances. It sounds so simple, but is one of the hardest things we can do in life. We honor you for this! We were thrilled with your parting words as you graduated from Mindset Mastery:
This course can do AMAZING things in your life. As I started to improve, one area of my life, others followed…. My life is not yet the fairytale I want it to be, but I can definitely say that I have changed and so have my circumstances.
Finding College Cash
Because Steven C. Roberts has an expertise that I believe many of my readers will want to know about, let me introduce you:
When Steven arrived at college age his sister was in a car accident. Due to a problem with insurance, his parents told him that if he wanted to attend college he needed to figure out how to pay for college.
At this point, Steven had a few hundred dollars and no GPA–he was homeschooled. With few options and not much money, prospects did not look good for him to attend college.
Well, by the time he finished his undergraduate degree he received 35 scholarships and grants—including three prestigious scholarships. He also worked as both a teaching assistant and research assistant during his undergraduate studies. Steven earned more money than he paid in tuition and books.
Steven said: “I was not a perfect student, but if I had known then what I know from writing this book about paying for college, I would have saved even more on college and graduated very well off.”
Steven lives near Ogden, Utah with his wonderful wife and three children. He enjoys hiking, cooking, writing, and spending time with his wife and family. He thanks his many mentors and friends who have contributed to the success of his projects.
Steven is both a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator. In 2016 Steven was awarded the I.E.E.E. Distinguished speaker award and won 1st place in Toastmaster’s regional in 2019.
Steven is offering a FREE copy of his new book for those people who will read it and leave a review: Finding College Cash: Proven Ideas to Find Scholarships, Grants, and Other Resources to Finish College Debt-Free or Better!

The Mindset Mastery Program is not to be confused with the Mindset Fundamentals Ecourse.
The Fundamentals Ecourse provides an introductory exploration into the principles that govern success for effective goal setting. It also fills the gaps to give you a basic but complete understanding of the principles, so that you have a solid foundation on which to develop true mastery.
By contrast, the Mastery Program is focused on the *implementation* of those principles and the *achievement* of your goals. It is full of interesting assignments that take you step-by-step through two experimental goals, challenging your thought processes, helping you experience success, and setting up a pattern in your thinking that you will be able to utilize over and over for effectiveness with all of your future goals. There is a self-paced version, but we also have a GUIDED version if you want to go through the lessons on a weekly basis with an expert guide. View all your options here.
I hope you’ll join me in one of these programs, so I can help you take your understanding and success to the next level in ALL areas of your life!
