“Enclosed in this non-original package are some Russian souvenirs to your family from me and my family. Bob was so busy these days and I hope he had limited time for some souvenirs from Russia these inclosed things may remind him and rest of his family those happy and not so happy business days we spent together in my country undergoing the transformation stage.
The first thing inclosed is a miniature-size souvenir called SAMOVAR (during previous time such vessels the people used to prepare boiled water for tea, the original fuel were wood sticks under the vessel. Later the vessel was transformed and electric heaters were used till now. Modern actual SAMOVARS are of big size with capacity of 3 liters of water provided with electric heaters.
The second thing enclosed is an old fashioned glass cup together with cup holder which is made of silver. It is preferable after long storage period to clean the silver cup holder with appropriate silver-cleaning agents or solutions because it may become darker in colour.
The third thing enclosed is a simple and unexpensive Russian wrist watch (non-automatic), operating instructions are attached.
The fourth thing inclosed is a tray together with six miniature cups which not necessarily can be used for alcoholic drinks.
And here some words for the custom personnel in Russian for clearance: (Russian characters…)
Best wishes to your family
