Perhaps the reason why “one book,” “one seminar,” or “one program” is a MAJOR turning point for some people, but just a small step for others, is because achieving success is like unlocking a combination lock.

There’s a finite number of discs that need to fall into place before the lock will open.

Some people are naturally inclined to live in harmony with the laws of success, or they’re raised in environments that set them up for it. For them, most of the discs are already in place. So, one book, one seminar, or one conversation with a mentor is all it takes to set them free and launch them into a whole new way of living.

Then, there are others—like me—who had hundreds of discs that needed to shift into place.

But here’s the good news: Each time you increase your mental capital—by learning more about how success truly works, by trying, failing, and learning from those experiences—you allow yet another disc to rotate into place. And once a disc is in place, it stays there for good.

One day, with just one more try, one more class, one more book, one more seminar, or one more conversation with a mentor, that FINAL disc will click into place, and the lock will finally spring open.

You’ll probably tell everyone that this was THE BEST book, event, or conversation you ever experienced... because it facilitated the most significant results in your life.

But the truth is, each “aha” moment that led up to it was just as crucial to your success as the final breakthrough. If even ONE of those earlier epiphanies hadn’t occurred, that last book, seminar, or conversation wouldn’t have been the final disc.

Even if you’ve had breakthroughs before, reaching the next level will always require unlocking another combination, sometimes a bit more complex than the one before. So, keep learning. Keep seeking the next epiphany, because you never know—your next moment of clarity might just be the one that clicks all the way into place. And if it isn’t, then there’s one less disc to move.

But don’t worry, you’ll get there. You’ll open every lock, one disc at a time.
