A quarter, a butterfly and a Ford pick up

In my Guided Mindset Mastery course, we were invited to experiment with the Law of Perpetual Transmutation by setting small, low-stakes goals. As Leslie Householder explains, this law means “everything is either coming into physical form or going out of it.” In other words, the energy of our thoughts—when properly nurtured—can literally take shape and become reality.
For my experiment, I picked a simple goal with a few specific details: I wanted to see a quarter on the garage floor by my left foot. I planted that seed of thought, then visualized it vividly. I imagined holding the quarter, felt the cool metal in my hand, and let myself feel the little thrill of discovery. I was sure this one would be easy.
At first, I kept looking for it, wondering how and when it would show up. A week went by—nothing. As time passed, impatience crept in. I started second-guessing myself. Maybe I was doing something wrong? Maybe it wasn’t working?
So I switched gears and picked a new goal. This time, I visualized a white butterfly flying past me. Same process: full visualization, engaged all the senses, felt the joy of it… but again, another week came and went. No butterfly.
Feeling a little discouraged, I tried again—this time with something bigger: a black Ford pickup truck with big side mirrors and a shiny chrome grill. Still, nothing. By now, it had been about three weeks, and I was frustrated. Why wasn’t anything happening?
Then, all on the same day—out of nowhere—everything shifted.
I was doing laundry, pulling clothes from the dryer, when I heard a clink. I looked down, and there it was: a quarter on the floor by my left foot. I froze. Wait, what? That’s exactly what I visualized.
Later that day, I was backing out of the driveway, and a white butterfly fluttered across my windshield.
Still in awe, I drove down the road... and a black Ford pickup truck passed by—large side mirrors, chrome grill and all.
Every single one of those goals showed up. Not when I was obsessing. Not when I was doubting. But once I finally let go.
Looking back, I realized how powerfully the Law of Perpetual Transmutation had been working the whole time. My thoughts and visualizations had been forming beneath the surface. But the moment I let impatience and doubt take the wheel, I slowed everything down. The energy of doubt interfered with the process. Faith, on the other hand, accelerated it.
When I planted the seed—got clear on what I wanted, visualized it, felt the emotion—and then trusted the process, everything began to take shape. But it wasn’t until I released the need to control the outcome that the results started flowing in.
Another big takeaway? The people around me made a difference. Having higher-thinking, like-minded friends helped me stay grounded in trust and vision. They reminded me not to give in to doubt—and that made it easier to stay aligned with the kind of energy that makes transmutation possible.
In the end, this experience taught me something simple but profound: our thoughts really do hold power. And when we feed them with trust and patience, they grow into reality. It's a continual flow—energy moving into form—and the more we trust, the faster that transformation happens.
